Using 5-Why Analysis, Pareto Charts, 80/20 rule, and other methods to identify the genuine root causes of the problem had proven that it frequently happens that the genuine root causes are different from what execution team(s) report prior to analysis.

Interactive Planning / Pull Planning
Well-Experienced planners know that without Pull Planning, the time schedule and project plan will be loaded with tons of unnecessary/misleading information, resulting in an unrealistic plan or at best case a plan that will not be relevant after 2-3 updates. This is one of the main reasons Pull Planning (Also known as: Reverse Phase Scheduling or Interactive Planning) became a core principle to be adapted in order to produce a reliable plan.
